spiritual thought: I've been thinking, so here's my thoughts spit out on this page
what is faith? believing in something you can't see. but I think in a gospel sense it's confidence. trust. having confidence and trust in Jesus Christ.

Alma 32:21
And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.

what is hope? I hope it doesn't rain, I hope we get home safely. but no. in a gospel sense hope is a confident expectation. if we have hope we trust God's promises.

see they're similar. they work together. you can't have one without the other.

Moroni 7:40-42
40 And again, my beloved brethren, I would speak unto you concerning hope. How is it that ye can attain unto faith, save ye shall have hope?
41 And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise.
42 Wherefore, if a man have faith he must needs have hope; for without faith there cannot be any hope.

I have faith in Jesus Christ and I know that He loves each of us. because of that I have so much hope for what comes after this. and that's why I'm here. there's people without faith, there's people without hope. life would be so much harder without that hope. without that surety that God has a plan. that we'll be able to live with Him again. and our families. life would be so sad without faith. I hope that I can be an instrument in God's hands in bringing others to Him.

MONDAY
we had a district activity and played secret hitler. I learned I'm a really bad liar so therefore really bad at that game. we had dinner with the Waltz's! they had some family over so it was fun to get to know them!

TUESDAY
we sang the national anthem at the clippers game in Columbus! afterwards we were able to watch some of the game and I even got a foul ball that was thrown into the audience! some members from a different ward were sitting next to us and they were super nice!
ALSO I got to see the one and only Eliza Ludlow! she's an fsy counselor and was in Columbus at OSU so after dinner we met up with her so quick before the game! all the fsy kids were so excited to see missionaries! one kid asked if we wanted a duck, and what color we wanted. so I asked what colors he had and he said "ask and ye shall receive" so i got a purple duck and sister reeves got a green one 🐤 I also saw sister hollingshead who helped teach us in the mtc!

WEDNESDAY
last district council of the transfer, aka elder Gilmore's funeral. then we visited our friends Don, Mazzie and Tessa. and of course Tessa's little siblings, Shelby and Tucker. we taught them how to pray while Don made us deer steaks. perfect timing for Tessa to pray over the food! then we decided to take pictures by the corn field and that's when the kids showed me Don's "fishing pond" 😂 it's an above ground pool that he made into a fish pond! I said "I wanna go fishing" and he whipped out two baby poles! I got the Moana one. when I tell you he casted that thing in and handed it to me and then I got a bite. I caught 5 lil fish in there! so much fun 🎣 later we went to Bob Evans with sister Vore! she's the best!

THURSDAY
Sister Brooks took us to the temple! Definitely a good start to our day. sadly we didn't get any pictures. she took us to lunch afterwards at a sandwich place called Grinders. we had a couple lessons, one of them with Jam. turns out his name is Jim. he laughed at us when we kept calling him Jam but he's the one who sent in his referral and put his name as Jam 🤷‍♀️
we had dinner with sister Pitzer and Cody! they're so funny.

FRIDAY
we decided to walk to the food pantry. it only took 30 minutes. I think the worst part was walking back home cause it was more hot and more humid. it was good tho. we visited Don and Mazzie and them yet again! Tucker is 5 years old and that kid has his own lil lawnmower at papaw's house. he knows how to get on there and start it and drive it around all day long. his legs aren't even long enough to reach the pedals but he figures it out.
this time he hopped on and it wouldn't start. so he hops off and opens up the hood and then runs to tell papaw that his "battery is shot" 😂 smart kid.
dinner at the Snavely's house is always fun! Beckett is still just as cute as ever. I love when he calls us "sisters" he decided to throw his rice all over the floor and then got up and dragged the mop over so he could mop the floor! so cute
then we did a "wellness check" on the waltz's, just visited and ate ice cream hehe we love them

SATURDAY
we had a lesson with our new friend James! he wants to grow his relationship with Jesus Christ! apparently the first time we met him, after I gave him a card with our information on it he scanned the QR code and downloaded the Book of Mormon app! I didn't think people ever actually used that QR code! but James is cool and he's gonna read the Book of Mormon!

SUNDAY
Mazzie and Don came to church! they got lost on the way there so they missed Sacrament meeting but made it to 2nd hour and loved it! they said they'd be back next week! we also had a lesson with Brandon! he finally finished his church tour study thing and said he'll be back to church with us next week. after talking for awhile we called up sister waltz and invited ourselves over and told brandon to follow us there. we played card games and talked more about the Gospel, sister waltz shared her conversion story. Brandon is searching for truth and he's SO close. please pray for him. he's headed in the right direction and I know he'll find it!

pretty solid week yet again! let me know how yours went :) I love and miss you all!
