Week 4: chat is this real?

What on earth... I don't even think Ohio is on earth tbh. Whitley was right. Ohio is a whole other planet. I am doing SO good tho! How are y'all doing?

Um if you wanna see my pictures here's the google photos link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/o1Wmow78ZBW55WZd8

Tuesday
We basically packed all day. Had our last class with sister Hamilton and it felt so empty cause half our elders were gone. Bryan K. Taylor from the seventy came and he and his wife talked. They talked a lot about repentance. Then we said goodbye to the rest of the elders and did more packing

Wednesday
We woke up at 3am to say bye to sister gafa and sister bezzant 😭 then I curled my hair with sister Baumgardner's curling iron (thanks girl) we did some finishing up with packing and then headed to checkout. On our way out we met some people in our travel group! Then I just so happened to see elder houston before we both left and made him give me a hug.
We got on the bus with elder Dickson and elder Schneider and it took us straight to the airport (thank goodness) and then we checked our bags and everything and idk what I would've done in that airport without sister Summers
We flew to Chicago and then had a 2 hour layover and flew to Columbus. It was my second time flying so that's cool ahaha
When we got there our mission president and his wife were there waiting for us. They took us to the mission home for dinner and then put us with companions for the night at a hotel.

Thursday
First thing in the morning we went to the church and the Brockbanks gave us a lil intro and then we did some basic training stuff. Then we met our trainers! Mine is sister Jordan, she's awesome! We talked to a bunch of other missionaries and then went to raising canes for lunch. After that we went to our apartment in Chardon and I unpacked and it was so crazy. It didn't feel real.

Friday
My first REAL day. We did some knocking which wasn't too bad cause most people didn't answer.
We had a member meal and on our way we got stuck in a ditch! I was laughing so hard! Poor sister Jordan was stressing and I was laughing my head off. Some nice guys came to help and it just so happened to be the members we were eating dinner with. Brother McClellan had picked up a hitchhiker on his way home and lemme tell you this guy was a character. He was like this hippy guy that was apparently walking from New York to Los Angeles.. I wonder where he's at now hahaha
When he saw me he said "oh my goodness you're an LDS missionary?!" I was like yeah hahaha and I kid you not he kneeled on the ground and kissed his hands and touched my feet.. I've never been worshipped like that. Or worshipped at all. Ever. Later he kissed our hands and gave us big hugs and we were like ermmm this isn't allowed. We didn't say that tho of course. He also preformed a prayer for us later. He was a yapper.

Saturday
We got to visit our friend Matilyn. She's a cutie 14 year old girl. She mentioned getting baptized in her other church and her dad said "it's baptism you don't need to rush into it, take your time. If you decide to get baptized in the LDS church then I'll support you" so that's a W dad. We're gonna try and watch general conference with her this weekend. Pray for our friend Matilyn please
We had stake conference in Kirtland! I met some more members and they're all so nice.

Sunday
More stake conference. We tried to get matilyn to come but she slept through it which is so real cause I wanted to too. (Jk) there were cute babies on either side of us so we got a little distracted not gonna lie. After stake conference there was a baptism and that was super cool.

Honestly this week has been a blur. Just like the past three. There's always something going on ahaha
I miss you all
Feel free to email me at any time hehe
