Well Tuesday was crazy. We had zone conference (my very first one) and it was very inspiring. We talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ (which is literally our missionary purpose) it's THE WAY! Literally the only way.
I GOT TO SEE MY MTC COMP SISTER SUMMERS!
Anyways we went out afterwards and couldn't find anywhere to knock. There's nowhere to park anywhere so we were driving around aimlessly. Sister Jordan said a quick lil prayer and immediately after we found this empty parking lot and in front of us was this street that was absolutely GLOWING. I'm not even kidding. We started knocking and found TWO new friends on the same street?!? (This is a miracle for Chardon) we just taught them the way. And both of them said we came at the perfect time which was crazy cause they were an answer to our prayers too. Pray for Kristen and Nicole!
Wednesday
We did a passoff lesson with Carl and Gabriella and the Warren sisters! Which means we taught them with all 4 of us to introduce them to the missionaries in their area and tell them we won't be teaching them anymore. It went really well but lowkey it was sad. Afterwards we went to an Amish store and got fry pies hehe
Then we visited the Duncan's and just answered questions they had about random stuff. One of the main ones was the word of wisdom so we read D&C 89 with them.
We had dinner at the Wheatley's and then met up for training visits.
Thursday
We had training visits! This is when the STL's switch comps with us. So I got to go to Euclid with sister woolston and it was SO much fun! It was good to get to know her better and to be in a new area. Half the day nobody would answer their doors but then we stopped by an inactive member and a referral we got. Both very cool experiences. Oh and while we were knocking nobody was literally answering but we passed this house cause the guy was outside moving cars and then after we got to the end of the street we decided to go back to the guy outside. He ended up being pretty interested. We gave him a book of mormon and he asked for "one of those fancy bookmarks" (our 'The Way' card that we only get one of) so we gave him a baptismal calendar cause it has the same thing on it π so yeah pray for our Euclid friends, Andrew, Anthony and Michael.
Friday
We started doing this thing called comp walks (thanks sister ludlow) basically for comp study we just go on a walk and talk about stuff. We went on this trail and found the hanging rock whatever that is.
Saturday
We spontaneously visited lil Debi. She's my spirit animal. She is CRAZY and I love it. She talks a million miles a minute, she changes subjects so fast and she asks us questions then doesn't give us time to answer π if my brain was a person it would be her. She LOVES missionaries and especially the sisters and she just wanted to feed us and give us stuff. She's precious.
Then after knocking we noticed something going on at Chardon square. It was called the Wild Maple Music Festival. It reminded me of a mini version of peach days. We talked to a couple vendors who were amazing artists and then saw this cute jewelry booth and I couldn't resist. They said everything was on sale for 5 bucks but then the guy said he'd give us 5 for $20 (lol I literally couldn't decide on just one thing) so basically I got two necklaces and some earrings and sister Jordan got a necklace too. I had some extra cash laying around from back home ππ
Then we accidently ate at Nocè, this gourmet pizza restaurant and it was yummy.
Then we visited this family who had cats so I took some allergy medicine. They're the cutest. There's 5 kids under the age of 13 and it reminded me of my chaotic family. The 5 year old would not leave me alone but I wasn't complaining cause I love kids so much. She loves Marshall from Paw Patrol and the color pink.
When we got home I was so tired I went right to bed and I was out like a light. Apparently we had zone prayer and I missed it. Sis Jordan tried to wake me up and It just didn't work... I slept the whole night and could've slept longer than that honestly.
Sunday
My first actual Sacrament Meeting in Chardon! The branch is small but pretty dang amazing. I actually bore my testimony during testimony meeting (I know mom and dad don't get too excited) I mostly wanted to introduce myself cause I'm just a baby missionary and it was scary π I was shaking the whole time.
After fast Sunday I MUNCHED cause um.. I'm a muncher. It was so hard to not just snack all day long ✋π½π
Spiritual thought:
God really does answer prayers. Not always in the way we want or as fast as we want. It's always in His timing according to His will. As we try to align our will with God's we'll find that "what works for Thee, works for me"
Focus on the good and count your blessings!
Aligning Our Will with His
