Monday
we had the laziest p day ever and it was much needed. we visited our friend Stacy and she gave us a farm tour! I'm gonna grow up to be like stacy
Tuesday
I bought myself a kids beanie from tractor supply cause it was on sale and my ears were getting cold. after a scrumptious dinner with the Horvals (I now know that potato pancakes exist) we played pool 🎱 the only experience I've had with this game is game pigeon on my phone but brother Horval must be a good coach cause I got second place.. then we played again, Sister Wirth vs me vs sister Horval. I won that game.. they think I was holding out on them and I secretly play all the time but I'm telling you that game pigeon taught me a thing or two.
Wednesday
lowkey sister Wirth and I matched outfits on accident. we joined the youth for an activity, they do conference jeopardy after every conference and it's pretty intense. girls against boys and you have to have a designated answerer who you give the answer to and they have to complete this obstacle course and ring the bell first to answer. I get really competitive so this was fun AND I had the honor of being the designated answerer for the double or nothing round! yeah you guessed it, girls won 😁
Thursday
we had district council and then I went to Chipotle for the first time ever. got lowkey bashed on a porch, it was funny I felt the spirit leave as soon as she started talking. she was very passive aggressive and said she'd pray for us.. imma take all the prayers I can get so thanks random lady :))
Friday
we decided to use our hour and a half comp study along with our lunch hour to go on a walk.. we walked an hour and then turned around but apparently we walked right out of the Chardon area.. oops
it rained the whole time and we didn't bring our rain coats so we got a wee bit wet but it was so much fun and so beautiful outside
Saturday
we had a bit of a crazy day. first we visited our mennonite friend her and her husband have been reading the book of mormon and she said she read something that morning that really stuck out to her and she wrote it down?! it was part of Alma 29:9 that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.
little does she know that's like literally the reason I'm in Ohio.
then we visited our friend Amy who almost lowkey got anti-ed cause she did some research about the book of mormon but we told her about the church website and I showed her Moroni 10:3-5 and she seemed to like that.. we'll cook on that.
we tried to visit a referral, wendelyn, in an assisted living home but we got stuck outside and then went into her room and she was showering?? then got stuck INSIDE so that was a fiasco.
then we visited another referral who stopped answering our texts. we had the most interesting interaction. we said we were there for Bru so he stepped outside and talked to us for awhile. he loved Jesus and he loves his Bible so we gave him a book of mormon and he was very interested! he then mentioned it was his daughters 18th birthday party going on inside and invited us in... we declined a few times but he was persistent so we went in and met his daughter and her two friends. they gave us pizza and cake and we lowkey-highkey crashed her party but they were all so nice and generous and he told us we were welcome anytime so hopefully he reads the Book of Mormon :)
Sunday
during Sacrament meeting this cutie girl named Jeanne always comes up to me and so finally I made her a bracelet and gave it to her when she came over. she immediately ran to her mom and said "mom mom look what the sisters gave me!" and I'm pretty sure the whole congregation heard. we had ice cream in Sunday school thats a W. Nicole let us hold her guinea pig Zues when we went to visit her. He's so fluffy! and he pooped on me 😳
we had dinner with the jukers as always and we found out their son Bryson hates salad. like he could have a bowl of fruit but if you call it a fruit salad he's out. we had some fun with that for a second. I love the Jukers so bad!
spiritual thought: so one of the senior missionaries spoke in church and she read this scripture that's stuck with me ever since. it was Doctrine and Covenants 98:1
she talked about "in everything give thanks" and when it says everything it means EVERYTHING! does that mean trials and hard times too? absolutely it does. she talked about how every hard thing will make you stronger or help you grow in some way. Jesus Christ went through the ultimate "hard thing" so that we could all overcome spiritual and physical death and we could learn and grow here on earth and then return to Heavenly Father again! so next time you're struggling, look for the blessings in your situation, and in everything give thanks :)
I love you all to Utah and back <3
