Monday
we had a zone activity and had a pumpkin carving competition. President Joe Jackson was our judge! sister Jordan and I got 3rd place so that's pretty cool.

Tuesday
we got this referral from sister Summers and sister Damery for Allan who saw their book of mormon ad on Facebook and asked about it. they sent him to us cause he's in our area so we went to take him a book of mormon and when we pulled up this Amish girl was walking up to the door and we got so confused. so we talked to her and she said Allan was sick and so we're assuming they're married. we ended up teaching her and giving her the book of mormon so that's cool.

Wednesday
we had our last district council of the transfer and basically just sat talking the whole time and then played book of mormon jeopardy which was so fun. for lunch we all went to this taco place and basically I'm gonna miss them all. we had a porch party at the Duncan's and played the guitar/sang for them

Thursday
Halloween! 🎃 we dressed up as each other by switching name tags and it was so funny to see the reactions. I gotta be sister Jordan for the day! we decided it felt wrong to knock so we ended up doing a bunch of stop bys which was really fun. we were told to be in by 6pm for safety reasons but we had dinner with sister Bottorff and then the Shepherd's and Juker's invited us over to hangout with them for the night.

Friday
I hit my 2 months! I can't believe I've been a missionary for 2 months already. our girl on date broke up with us so that's cool
oh and the jukers came to our apartment to re-dedicate it (ifykyk) and give us blessings. Sister Juker checked out our whole apartment and decided she wanted to get us some things to make the apartment more like home.

Saturday
we went to what's called Esther Academy and I'm thinking it's like a youth conference type thing for the older young women. they asked us to teach about temples and let us stay for lunch and to help with a service project! we taught mindy again! the cutie Amish/Mennonite girl. her and Allan have been reading the book of mormon! we had dinner at the Struiksma's and I just love going to their house cause it reminds me of home. there's 5 kids under the age of 13 so you can imagine the chaos. I've lived it so i absolutely love it. they made Indian food from Costco that my family gets all the time so that was another comfort for me. the chaos of their house and kids bring me so much joy.

Sunday
we went to church an hour early cause we thought we had a meeting oops. on our comp walk we met a new friend, his name is Chris. we did a service project with sister Bottorff, painting Christmas ornaments for people who were affected by the hurricanes lately. we had dinner at the Juker's and I say this all the time but I LOVE the Juker's. apparently president juker has a teal pair of doc martens so I asked him to show me and he went to put them on for me. when he came out I was admiring his shoes and he gave me a card and I was so confused.. then I flipped it and it had Taylor Swift on the other side. he said he was in Indianapolis while Taylor Swift was performing there but the hotel he stayed in was I guess a sponsor for her so there were cards all over about the eras tour. he literally saw it and thought of me and brought me one and I literally died dead cause that's so sweet. I'm so sentimental in that way so I feel so special that he'd think of me. they treat us like family and I absolutely adore them.
they sent us home with stuff for our apartment. a new mirror in our room, throw pillows for the couch, twinkly lights and a bunch of other things. they also gave us a gratitude pumpkin so that's precious. they're the sweetest!

spiritual thought: obviously the music I listen to out here is Christian but theres a christian country artist that I love named Anne Wilson and one of her songs we've listened to a lot lately is called My Jesus! my seminary teacher, brother Pettus actually showed me this song years ago.
"He makes a way when there ain't no way, rises up from an empty grave, ain't no sinner that he can't save, let me tell you bout my Jesus and let my Jesus change your life"
I love the way she says "My Jesus" because it makes it personal. let me tell you about MY Jesus. My Jesus will change your life. LET My Jesus change your life.
