week 13: 🍁 I'm thankful for... CHRISTMAS TIME πŸŽ„

hey guys happy monday! and happy december! I can't believe it's December already and I've been a missionary for 3 whole months now! time flies when you're having fun! oh and my birthday is exactly a month away πŸ₯³

for anyone thinking about it. DO IT. serve a mission. cause it's so much fun and brings so much joy and so many blessings :)

spiritual thought: I was reading my patriarchal blessing and someone told me to read it or rewrite it in present tense because the blessings it's talking about are happening right now. if you have your patriarchal blessing go read it and change a few words to make it present tense! if you have not yet received yours... maybe think about it
looking back to when I got mine, i had no idea what any of it meant. reading it now is so cool to watch these things actually happening!

MONDAY
we had a sisters activity at the kirtland temple! got to tour it for the 4th time and I swear it gets better every time! one of the sweet senior missionary couples paid for our lunch! he told us to go to this place called down the block and it was really good! 10/10 recommend!
we did gymnastics in the living room that night. we're kinda pro I think.

TUESDAY
our first REAL day as a trio! knocking in Shaker area is way different than knocking in Chardon. we also had dinner with the Horvals and played pool again. this time against my two comps. I guess you could call me the champion

WEDNESDAY
my mama sent me stuff to make pomegranate salad (it's a Thanksgiving tradition) and also some Christmas decorations! so I decorated a cutie lil tree for our apartment
we spend all day doing service in kirtland! building a fence across the street from the temple, testing/sorting christmas lights, and wrapping everything in lights!
then we had to get our apartment dedicated cause it's new so it's never been dedicated #2transfers #2apartments #2dedications

THURSDAY
HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🍁
did some more service, I wrapped a whole tree by myself! then had Thanksgiving at two different member's homes. we got to talk to family so that was good. I remember all growing up being at Thanksgiving parties with missionaries on the phone getting passed around and now that's me?!

FRIDAY
we got in contact with someone my cousin Whitley told me about! someone she met while she was serving in shaker heights area! it's super cool to make those connections. we also visited Mikey and he gave us lots of candy like always. then he noticed I looked cold and gave me one of his hoodies πŸ˜‚ he's the sweetest!

SATURDAY
we had training visits so Hermana Quist came with sister Wirth and I. we had a lesson with our mennonite friend and she had lots of questions about the plan of salvation! good thing sister Quist was there
oh and we also saw deer while we were knocking in Chardon

SUNDAY
I HIT 3 MONTHS?!?! time is actually flying. we started church in Chardon and then after sacrament ran to Shaker ward and stayed for both hours. we had breakfast for dinner with the Jukers and sister Juker gave me a Taylor Swift children's book! she said she saw it and thought of me! πŸ₯² they're the sweetest people
then we headed to kirtland (in the snow) for the nativity opening/lighting ceremony and it was so fun to see all our hard work paying off! sooooo many pretty lights!
