week 16: MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄

hey fam! Merry Christmas! I can't believe it's Christmas already?!? 🎄✨️❄️☃️🎁🦌

check out my google photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/o1Wmow78ZBW55WZd8

I hope you all got all the gifts you hoped for but let's remember the greatest gift of all! Jesus Christ! He is the gift! the reason we celebrate Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. His humble birth was the start of the key moment in the plan of salvation. He lived so that we could live. He overcame sin and death so that we could also overcome them! having this knowledge brings me so much joy! and I want everyone to be able to experience this joy! that's why I'm a missionary, to declare glad tidings of great joy!

Luke 2:10-11
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Mosiah 3:3-4
3 And he said unto me: Awake, and hear the words which I shall tell thee; for behold, I am come to declare unto you the glad tidings of great joy.
4 For the Lord hath heard thy prayers, and hath judged of thy righteousness, and hath sent me to declare unto thee that thou mayest rejoice; and that thou mayest declare unto thy people, that they may also be filled with joy.

now onto my week

MONDAY
p day! we hungout with the sisters! basically just walked around the mall all day. later we went to five below to get white elephant gifts for zone conference. I got a remote control Wall-E that lowkey I wanted to keep for myself cause it was so cute. if you don't know what Wall-E is I'm disappointed

TUESDAY
Mikey invited us to celebrate his mom's birthday! He also invited a senior couple from the Kirtland sites because apparently it was sister Liechty's birthday too! we went to Olive Garden and sister Wirth and I wrote them each a birthday card and got them chocolate! they loved it so that's a win
we had a lesson with Brittany and Kia! I love them so bad. please pray for them as they prepare to be baptized next month!

WEDNESDAY
we went to the youth activity in Chardon and they were watching the episode of The Chosen where baby Jesus is born! it was amazing and really put into perspective how humbling that must've been for Mary and Joseph! I highly recommend watching that.

THURSDAY
CHRISTMAS ZONE CONFERENCE 🎄
zone conference was so good! we talked a lot about JOY! we also recited The Living Christ together and sang Joy to the World! we did lots of fun games and activities including the white elephant, learned Away in a Manger in French, decorated cookies and made homemade blankets to give people in need! they gave us each a cutie gift bag with OCM journals! a few of us sisters went to the Kirtland temple afterwards to take pictures! then we had a lesson with Kia and she told us about how she's noticed her life change since she met us and that brought me so much joy! I'm so excited for her to get baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost!

FRIDAY
we knocked a whole apartment building but the only people we talked to were the ones in the halls because nobody answers their doors. we met a few cool people tho!

SATURDAY
we volunteered at a food pantry which was so fun! we also visited the Ravasz family. they're absolutely precious.

SUNDAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEPHI 🥳🎉 10 years old is wild.
we had 2 sacrament meetings meaning 2 christmas programs! it was a day filled with music! we had dinner at the Juker's and they gave us each a bag of presents from the chardon branch! I absolutely adore them all! we had a devotional that night and President Brockbank read us a christmas story he wrote for his kids! it was precious!

MONDAY
we met this cool woman named Unique! she said the first time she ever heard of "mormons" was that morning at work! I think that's a sign Unique. we gave her a Book of Mormon! we had dinner at the Sinaga's and brother Sinaga is a chef so we had this whole fancy meal! the French sisters were there too :)

TUESDAY
Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄✨️ we visited a recent convert in Shaker Heights named Elsa! I love her so much! her brother only speaks spanish so we told him Feliz Navidad in the worst spanish accent you ever heard. they sent us with lots of homemade sweets! we also visited Mikey and read Luke 2 with him! we had dinner at the Struiksma's! they're the best!

I hope you're all having a very Merry Christmas! feel free to send me an email or message :) I love you all
