week 18: the big 2-0

 so I literally typed this whole email and it deleted so I have to retype it! sorry it's later than usual! 

it's been a birthday filled week so that's exciting 


spiritual thought: 
Alma 30:44
44 But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.

I was sitting in the car watching the snow fall and every now and then a little snowflake would land on the window and I could see the intricate details on each snowflake. it was so beautiful! EVERYTHING denotes there is a God! there's no way snowflakes could just look like that without a Surpreme Creator! He is in the details of every snowflake and every one of us! 
this week i want you all to pay attention to the details and notice more fully God's hand in your life!
now onto my week!

MONDAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAMMEN! she's 17 now which is absolutely crazy! we had a zone activity, Elder and Sister Squire made us a yummy lunch! so grateful for them! we had a lesson with Kia and Brittany! the Raymond's came along and it was so good!

TUESDAY
HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE! it was my last day backing cause we don't have to back our comps out for the next 6 months! they're doing a test of sorts I guess and our mission is part of it! it was pouring half the day so we got soaked

WEDNESDAY
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳 I got to be in Shaker/Chardon with Sister Christensen for training visits! it was such a fun day! Sister C is a powerful missionary! she is such a great example of who I want to be as a missionary! we had SO much fun and I learned a lot! 

THURSDAY
🎶 happy birthday to me 🎶 I'm 20 now?!! I got absolutely spoiled! we had candy cane pancakes for breakfast, sushi for lunch, my mom got us nothing bundt cakes and we got ice cream with the French sisters at Mitchell's! we also had a mini photoshoot cause i always take pictures on my birthday! aside from all the birthday fun we just had a pretty normal day. knocked in the snow, had a lesson with Brittany and just, ya know, shared the gospel :) overall a great day and a birthday I'll never forget! thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes!

FRIDAY
it was sooo snowy! we shoveled someone's driveway without telling them and that was exciting! we had dinner at the Raymond's with the elders and the french sisters too so that was fun! 

SATURDAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA! my older sister is 21 now?! we got to be 20 for two days together ahaha 
the Petersens had us and the French sisters for dinner! they have a 1 year old daughter who is absolutely adorable! 

SUNDAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER GAFA! welcome to the 20 club! say bye to teenage years...
shaker ward starts at 9am now so we ran over to Chardon after sacrament! Mikey got the Melchizedek Preisthood and the French's had a baby blessing! after church one of the Struiksma kids got baptized! you could say it was a blessed day!

"Because of our covenant with God, He will never tire in His efforts to help us, and we will never exhaust His merciful patience with us"  when we are baptized we enter into a covenant relationship with God which binds us to Him and because of that He has a special kind of love for us and will continue to work with us and give us opportunities to change.
