week 19: I walked on water 🌊

so time flies when you're having fun.. I can't believe it's been another week!

here's my google photos https://photos.app.goo.gl/o1Wmow78ZBW55WZd8

MONDAY
Sister Woolston cut my curtain bangs! perks of having a cosmetologist stl
also been on that duolingo grind for absolutely no reason.

TUESDAY
we woke up and sang 🎢"its gonna be a good day"🎢 and it was! life hack!
we had a member meet up with us for a lesson but then that lesson fell through so she went with us to some stop bys.. nobody answered but it was cool that she was willing to do that with us!
we had a lesson with Kia and Brittany and sister Peterson came for that one! I think it went well!

WEDNESDAY
literally nothing significant happened besides I sledded down a snowy hill in sister wirths long coat.
and we got Amish soft pretzels

THURSDAY
we had another lesson with Brittany and Kia and at the end Kia got up and gave us both hugs 😭 they said they're so happy they met us awww

FRIDAY
had Friday morning training and district council/interviews! since our district was first we had to- I mean got to be in person for Friday Morning Training... everyone else in the mission was on the zoom and we were there with President! at the end he told us all that we're gonna do a Facebook Fast from now until February... (Facebook is gone so don't count on my 5 month post)
he said we should start this fast as a mission with a prayer on our knees so we can dedicate this time! then he said "I'm gonna ask someone in this room to say that prayer for us" and I made the biggest mistake of all in that exact moment. I locked eye contact with President Brockbank. (rookie mistake) and you guessed it. he asked me to say the prayer.. for the WHOLE MISSION! 😧🫣🫑🫠
I'm being dramatic it wasn't that bad.. anyways then we went on with district council and interviews and that was good! Elder and Sister Squire fed us all beef stew ahaha they're the best! it was so yummy.

SATURDAY
we were out doing stop bys and nobody was answering.. Sister Wirth randomly was like "hey let's go knock 3 doors" and I was like why on earth would we wanna do that.. let's go eat lunch! or I guess I was thinking that cause i just got out of the car with her and what do you know? we found 3 new friends?! 2 at the first house and one a little down the road. someone's in tune with the spirit.
we had a lot of friends tell us Saturday night they'd pull up to church! including Kia who we told we'd get her a ride to church and also stay with her the whole time. after asking SO MANY PEOPLE we finally found her a ride. our friend Roman in chardon said he was gonna be at church too which is GREAT! except for the fact that we just told Kia we'd be in Shaker with her all day so that was a bummer.

SUNDAY
first thing in the morning Kia called and said she threw up and couldn't make it to church... but it's okay cause a bunch of Shaker friends said they were coming... well after about 10 minutes of waiting for our friends to show up we decided that they weren't coming and if they do the Shaker elders are there. I felt like it was more important for us to go to chardon! so we ran out and drove to chardon as fast as we could without TIWI screaming at us! and Roman came! and mikey gave a talk in church and so did President Juker! they were both amazing! I was tearing up the whole time! and the branch was AWESOME! they were all so welcoming to Roman and it was honestly so cool! guess I'm in tune with the spirit too!
now for the title of my email... we decided to go to our cutie lil lake we always go to and there were TENTS on top of the lake! it was frozen! so of course we did what any logical person would've done and walked on the frozen lake! never did I ever think this small town southern Utah girl would walk on a frozen lake. SO COOL! don't worry I wouldn't have done it if there weren't people literally camping in the middle of it ahaha

spiritual thought:
how cool is it that when we're baptized we get the gift of the Holy Ghost as a constant companion as long as we're doing things that invite the spirit?! I've taken that for granted my whole life! being out here has made me realize and notice the spirit more fully in my life. The Holy Ghost there as a comfort, protection, peace, and guidance! I challenge you all to pay attention to the spirit more this week and strive to have it with you as a constant companion! let me know how that goes :)

it was a really good week honestly! I miss and love you all! feel free to reach out whenever cause I love hearing from you guys!
