week 20: buenos días! día de preparación :)

hey y'all! i can't believe it's been another week! it's been a good week too :) 


spiritual thought: this week we had an experience where a member told us they could come for one of our lessons and we thought it'd be so awkward with him there so we were trying to do everything in our power to make it so it wouldn't work and we could tell him we didn't need him. but then we both had the feeling we just needed to let him come. it ended up being such a good lesson! I know that God has a plan for all of us and He knows what he's doing! so just let Him do it!

now for my week! 

MONDAY
we had a really fun zone activity put on by President Jackson! he put together a bunch of different games and kept score and everything. teams were separated by districts and of course Kirtland district won *flips hair* it was actually so much fun! 

TUESDAY
we had training visits! I went to Euclid with sister woolston which is so precious cause she was my very first tv and now I'm her last! (she goes home this coming transfer 🥲)
it was THE BEST day ever! we met with their friend Juanita and invited her to be baptized! it was a powerful lesson! 
we went to lunch with their new convert Ashley and Sister Wilde (she a service missionary) then we went to the kirtland temple tour! and since its winter not very many people come visit so the tours get to be longer and we get more details and information! it was amazing! 5th time taking the tour and it's different every single time! I love it. we also had a lesson with their friend Aidas who's on date to be baptized next week! hes so precious! he was making creme brule?!?! 
then sister woolston had her exit interview with the one and only President Joe Jackson! so basically we partied it up at joe's house! he accidentally told the sisters the wrong day so we had 3 sister companionships and 2 elder companionships! 10 missionaries taking up the Jackson home! best day ever
WEDNESDAY
we had district council and ate lunch at Down The Block! so yummy! for dinner we went to the Nye's and sister Nye made us a delicioso homegrown homemade meal! perks of living on a farm amirite? on our way home we saw a big wide open field of snow and just HAD to go run through it... it was freezing but #worthit

THURSDAY
we visited recent convert Rosalie! she's precious! made us some tea and made sure to let us know it was herbal 😂 then we had a lesson with Brittany, Kia and Daniel! Brother Adams came and he was honestly so helpful! I missed the lesson on Tuesday because of TVs and they were all so happy to see me! it brought me so much joy :)) 
we decided we wanted burgers for dinner and we'd never tried Rally's before... it was mid. enjoy some Innout for me please, thanks.

FRIDAY
we had a sisters conference! all the sisters and Sister Brockbank! it was so good! I can't even explain it just know it was very spiritual and good to be around only sisters
afterwards a few of us went to this froyo place called sweetFrog and they literally were playing christian music! like all the music we listen to every single day ahaha 

SATURDAY 
we met Cynthia and her niece Christina! it was such a good lesson! Christina is 14 and was told by her church she couldn't get baptized so when we told her she could get baptized by the proper authority her face lit up! it was so precious! 

SUNDAY
our friends lied to us again and didn't pull up to church. we went to the Shepherd's with the Juker's to celebrate Brendy's birthday! we had the most random assortment of food but it was so fun! sister Wirth and I messed around on their piano for a second and lemme just say duolingo is paying off. I can read music now! if you didn't know duolingo can teach you music, now you do! I'm also fluent in spanish so.. (jk) 
oh yeah I got distracted.. back to the food. we had sloppy joes, baked potatoes, tamales and a charcuterie board 😂 lots of options. 
it snowed CONSTANTLY on Sunday so we had to drive very slowly to and from the Shepherd's house. we made it safely tho don't worry!

  hey fam, I know I know, the title of my email doesn't make sense cause we JUST got a new car like 3 weeks ago... surprise! we got a new car again! it's been a good week :)  can I ask a favor? can y'all pray for my friends? "Because of our covenant with God, He will never tire in His efforts to help us, and we will never exhaust His merciful patience with us"  when we are baptized we enter into a covenant relationship with God which binds us to Him and because of that He has a special kind of love for us and will continue to work with us and give us opportunities to change.
