spiritual thought: I saw something that said "God doesn't expect you to figure everything out, He just expects you to trust that He already has"
God has a plan for each of us! He is all knowing and all powerful! He allows us to go through trials so that we can learn and grow!
reminds me of a song by Thomas Rhett called Up! go listen for me :)
2 Nephi 2:11-13
11 For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility.
12 Wherefore, it must needs have been created for a thing of naught; wherefore there would have been no purpose in the end of its creation. Wherefore, this thing must needs destroy the wisdom of God and his eternal purposes, and also the power, and the mercy, and the justice of God.
13 And if ye shall say there is no law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness. And if there be no righteousness there be no happiness. And if there be no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery. And if these things are not there is no God. And if there is no God we are not, neither the earth; for there could have been no creation of things, neither to act nor to be acted upon; wherefore, all things must have vanished away.
now onto my week!
MONDAY
we had a district activity! played lots of fun games and just got to know each other! it was so much fun! we had dinner with the branch president and his family! the Arslanians
TUESDAY
we had a lesson with our friend Jasmine! she told us she had a paper for us from the elders? turns out it was a baptism calendar! we helped her fill it out and put her on date to be baptized May 3rd! we visited our friend Lori, she loves gnomes. they were all over her house. she had country music playing in the background so that was awesome! got a little tim mcgraw and alan jackson in my life for a second. we also met a young mom named allison who's been looking for a church! she's precious! then we visited Taylor! her husband was bombarding us with questions which is wonderful! except for the fact that he wasn't giving us a chance to answer them lol
WEDNESDAY
we went to do some stop bys and saw Taylor in her truck! when we drove by she showed us her Book of Mormon through the window! she's awesome! at one point we were trying to find somewhere to knock and there was a sales guy knocking doors on the street we went to! so we went to the opposite side cause we didn't want to bug the people he talked to lol
that's when he yelled across the street "are you doing the same thing?"
I said "what are you doing?"
he goes "knocking doors"
so I said "we're sharing the gospel!"
he said he respects that and we invited him to church :)
THURSDAY
district council and interviews! since we're in a south zone sister Brockbank was able to be there! she came into my interview and for some reason I yapped a lot more than usual to President.
we did a lot of work in the southern part of our area that day and everything down there is very spread out. we went to find a bathroom and it was 20 minutes away! well 15 minutes into that drive I had a thought.. we'd been close to the boundaries so I checked and we were OUT OF THE MISSION! oops lol I've left my area on accident.. and my zone... but the mission?! we had dinner with the Snavely's at Roosters that night! they're so much fun
FRIDAY
we did service first thing in the morning at a food pantry! we also met the recent convert in our branch! his wife is a member and was showing us stuff from her mission! she went to Argentina! shout out to my Argentina pals :)
we had dinner with the DeSantis family and learned all about brother DeSantis's job. he does prosthetic work!
SATURDAY
we met quite a few new people! we called a referral named Tyler! we talked about faith with him and then he asked about baptism! so he's preparing for baptism on April 20th! we also visited Taylor again! she has so many good questions and it was nice to get to talk to her more! she's really searching for truth!
SUNDAY
church! sacrament was good as always and we got to go to class with the youth! we had a guy yap at us for an hour so that was cool. had dinner with the Sibbett family! it rained all day and I LOVED it!
