week 33: He is risen! 🩷

good morning everyone! happy Easter! i hope you all had a great week remembering and celebrating Jesus!

spiritual thought: I've been reading a book about the atonement of Jesus Christ. the chapter I read yesterday told a story about one day in Sacrament Meeting when the young men got up to prepare the Sacrament there was no bread. he looked all over and then finally told the bishop. the bishop stood up and explained to the congregation then asked "How would it be if the Sacrament table were empty today because there were no atonement?"

that got me thinking about how much we truly rely on our Savior! His atonement is what makes it possible for us to overcome sin and death and without him we'd have no hope in this life. death would be the end for us. that's probably about the saddest thing I've ever heard. but luckily for us there was an atonement. and there is a Christ. and He lives! and because he lives we can too. I
'm so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and all He did for me. I'm so grateful that because of Him I get to be with my family for eternity! I'm so grateful he made it possible for me to repent and be cleansed to one day be in His presence again.

2 Nephi 2:8
Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.
