week 42: "that was a sin"

 oh hey! don't know how it's Monday again but I'm not gonna complain! how are you? lemme know ;)

spiritual thought: I've been teaching about the plan of salvation a lot this week and I've been learning as well! 
the plan of salvation, plan of happiness, plan of redemption, plan of love. 
our Heavenly Father loves us so much! He gave us this perfect plan and then gave us the choice to even follow it! He knew that by coming to earth we'd be imperfect so He sent His perfect son to redeem us! 
the purpose of our life on earth is to learn and grow and progress to eventually become like our Father in Heaven. we have to have enough faith to choose Him and choose to follow Jesus Christ! I'm trying every day to choose to follow Him! 
what can you do this week to more fully follow Jesus Christ? 

2 Nephi 2:25 
Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.

Alma 34:32
For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.

now onto the week! 

MONDAY
we had a district activity at a pizza buffet. the Prestwich's are the best. dinner at the waltz's who are our very favorite people to be honest. we showed up matching to see if sister waltz would notice. i think she only did when we pointed it out lol
nothing super significant other than that 

TUESDAY
the weather was feeling extra bipolar cause it was hot then it poured rain then it was hot again. we visited some members and had a little lesson with Carley and Taylor. Taylor's daughter Aaliyah said her first prayer which was precious. we also found out that I've been clenching my jaw when I sleep without knowing which has been causing some pain when I open my mouth too far lol I never realized stress could have such an effect on someone. I talked to the mission dentist and her advice has helped :)

WEDNESDAY
we had zone conference! it was so good! I always enjoy seeing my missionary friends! one of the new missionaries and I have a mutual friend so that was fun to make that connection. at zone conference we always hear testimonies from the missionaries who are headed home and it was kinda bitter sweet. especially since my mission mama sister Jordan is leaving?!?! 
we had a lesson with our friend Brandon. he has lots of deep doc questions. we went over the plan of salvation with him! then we met up with the STL's to switch for training visits!

THURSDAY
I was at OSU with the one and only Sister Atchley! sister Jordan came to Greenfield with sister reeves! I was excited to be back at OSU! we talked to a lot of cool people! at one point we were walking back to the institute for lunch and it started raining out of nowhere. and it poured on us just long enough for us to get back to shelter and then it stopped. we were absolutely soaked. (there's a video in my google photos) 
then it was nice and sunny so we sat outside to dry off for a second 😂 we met a cool guy named Charles and told him all about the Book of Mormon! later we had a lesson with Miles and Josh. I met them last time I had TVs at OSU but Miles has been baptized since then! so cool! after our lesson we realized we locked ourselves out of the building and the keys were inside on the table.. oops. adventurous day for sure!

FRIDAY
nothing super significant other than dinner with the DeSantis family. they're so funny! 

SATURDAY
we did some service for sister Waltz! we helped her clean out her dryer vents then pulled weeds in her garden. lemme just say.. humidity is no joke. 88 degrees in Utah is a great day but out here it's miserable. I definitely prefer dry heat. we taught Jesse a little bit about the plan of salvation! we also met Billie who was an online referral. when we stopped by she mentioned something about money and we were a little confused at why she needed money before she could meet with us. she thought she was gonna make a donation I guess? we told her we don't accept donations and that we just help people strengthen their relationships with Jesus Christ. she said we could come back another time 🤷‍♀️

SUNDAY
church! we got to take the Sacrament and renew our covenants which was wonderful as always. during lunch we went in our backyard and sat on a blanket to soak up some sun. we had an unexpected lesson with a girl named Rita! she had perfect questions that led us to talk about the plan of salvation which has kinda been a theme this week! she told us to come back next week! we had dinner with the Sibbett's they're super funny. at one point one of the kids smacked his brother's arm and their little sister goes "that was a sin! apologize to Jesus!" it was pretty entertaining 😂

it's been a pretty good week! life is crazy. but I'm living for it! give me a lil life update okay? I love and miss you all! till next week 🫡
