week 44: red, white and bug bites?? 🇺🇸🦟

 good morning! I've officially made it through the hardest part of my mission! i missed the bundy reunion, but all is well! I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! I'd love to hear all about it :) especially those of you who went to the Bundy Reunion hehe

anyways, onto my week


spiritual thought: family was a theme of our fast and testimony meeting this week. I'm always thinking about my family of course, but a little extra lately. boy do I miss them. but I'm so grateful to have the kind of family that makes me miss them so much! I'm so grateful that because of God's plan for us, I can be with my family for all eternity. and I'm grateful that even though I'm away from my family for a short period of time, I can help others be with their families for eternity! it's such a blessing :) 

MONDAY
we had a district activity playing some board games! it's always fun to hangout with other missionaries! as always had dinner with the Waltz's! 

TUESDAY
I hit 10 months as a missionary?! where does the time go? we had a couple lessons, lunch with the Snavely's! we stopped by a lot of people and a lot of people didn't answer lol
when we came home we made a sign that President Brockbank told us to put on our wall. it says "stop wallowing and start believing" a direct quote from president himself. 

WEDNESDAY
we had district council! the Prestwich's made us lunch as always. and after we had a lesson with Don, Mazzie and Tessa! they're a lot of fun! Tessa is 10 years old and we taught her about who Jesus Christ is and what faith is! 

THURSDAY
we are singing the national anthem at a baseball game in Columbus so we had a practice in the morning! it was honestly stressful because not much research was done before choosing missionaries for this choir... it's hard to make a choir out of kids who have no music experience... 
we had a lesson with our friend Jam and sister waltz joined us! she asked him what he knows and he told her everything we taught him up to that point. he is actually understanding and retaining what we say and he has really good questions too! afterwards we had dinner at Sister Pitzer's! we sat down and they were still in the kitchen so I whispered to sister Reeves "I don't like mac and cheese" so quickly she ate my mac and cheese off my plate and in return I ate her asparagus. good trade I'd say. Sister Reeves is a real one.
then we stopped by the Snavely's because they told us to and they had a box of mini crumbl cookies for us! they're the best! Beckett kept saying "sisters what are you doing?" and when we left he goes "you can have your cookies now!" I adore him. 

FRIDAY
happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸 after trying to do stop bys and other missionary work all morning, we realized it's a little hard to knock on peoples doors when they're celebrating with their families.. we didn't wanna disrupt so we went over to the Waltz's for dinner and then played some games! 
that morning I discovered bug bites all over my legs. since then I've discovered more and have about 18 that I know of... 10 of those being just on my left leg. yikes. 

SATURDAY 
more baseball choir practice! this time was much better! I'm not as stressed about it as I was last week. God really does answer prayers haha
we called all our friends to invite them to church and had a couple people say they'd try! 

SUNDAY
fast and testimony meeting! none of our friends made it to church but we did! so that's good. afterwards sister waltz invited us to church at her house! the new members who just moved in, the Steele's, were there! along with an old couple who used to be in the branch and were in town visiting! AND brother Waltz's nonmember little brother and sister-in-law were there too! it was a party! 
we had dinner with brother and sister Brooks! they had their son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren there so that was the second member meal we had with nonmember family visiting! we shared a message about faith :) 

it's been a good week! as always I'd love to hear from you guys! how was your week? I love and miss you all!

  hey fam, I know I know, the title of my email doesn't make sense cause we JUST got a new car like 3 weeks ago... surprise! we got a new car again! it's been a good week :)  can I ask a favor? can y'all pray for my friends?   oh hey! it's been another week!
