week 47: SKEE-YEE 🥤

 oh hey its Monday again! let's get right into it

spiritual thought: in relief society we studied my favorite talk "Recieve His Gift" by Elder Patrick Kearon. then we thought of a bunch of different gifts that Heavenly Father has given us! we wrote out the alphabet and then thought of gifts we've been given to go with each letter! it was cool too see all the many ways Heavenly Father has blessed us! what is your favorite gift from Heavenly Father? 

John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

3 Nephi 9:14 
Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.

MONDAY
we had a district activity and went on a lil hike and then went thrifting! it was so much fun. we found a massive cricket in our bathtub too so that was exciting 

TUESDAY
we tried a Jackson Ohio original. they have this soda called Ski that you can't find anywhere else. it's just in a sketchy vending machine and lowkey just tastes like mountain dew. we also met our recent convert Kayla! she's so precious! 
Sister Turner and I learned that we are the same. God really said copy and paste then change the font. 

WEDNESDAY 
we had a lesson with our friend Zeck and taught him about the restoration of Jesus Christ's church! I think he took it well. he's gonna read Alma 7. then we taught our friend Nellie THE WAY! which also included the restoration of the priesthood. Nellie is so sweet

THURSDAY
first district council of the transfer! it was fun. we went knocking at this place called Bundy Heights. we figured it was bound to be filled with elect souls. ifykyk. the first door we met Ashley! we gave her a Book of Mormon and got a follow up appointment. the second door was Matthew. he told us he wasn't interested in growing his faith but I shared a scripture anyways and gave him a card just in case. then 3 doors later Matthew came running to us and asked where the church is. I knew the Spirit would work on him, but I didn't expect it to be that fast. then we met Blake who was so tired from work, you could see it in his eyes. we asked if he was interested in growing his faith and he said yeah. but I wasn't convinced so I said "wait for real?" and he was like "yeah lemme put on my shoes" then he stepped outside and I just had to be sure so I asked him again "are you just saying that cause you're tired?" he told us no and then we proceeded to tell him Jesus Christ's true church has been restored on the earth! he said we could come back again 🤷🏽‍♀️

FRIDAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAV SISTER BUNDY! holy I just love her so much! 🥳
we had a lesson with our friend Noah! he's cool. apparently he's met with missionaries before and has even been to church a couple times. we also met our recent convert Millie. she fell asleep like 3 times while she was mid-sentence. a mood honestly. then we stopped by our referral, Bobby. he was cool until I brought up the Book of Mormon and he immediately shut us down. very nicely but was very not interested 

SATURDAY
we had a lesson scheduled with Zeck, we made it a point to be early because we'd been late to our last couple lessons and wanted to show him we can be on top of it. but he never showed up?! we just danced in the rain while we waited. we went to the church to call all our friends to invite them to church! we were so hyper and laughing so hard the whole time. I was fighting for my life to keep it together while sending voicemails. 
we had a lesson with our recent convert who moved here from Mexico. her name is Laura and she's about our age, she knows a little bit of english so we get to teach her more! I never thought I'd be teaching someone English, I barely can speak it myself. she's so precious and gave us some Mexican "candy" she called it. lots of coconut ahaha 

SUNDAY
we got to give talks in church. I talked about the Restoration and sister Turner talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. our friend Noah pulled up so that was cool! he said he'll be back next week! we also visited some members, one of them works at the Tostino's factory and he gave us some orange chicken flavored Tostino's rolls. they weren't great.. I'll stick to the pizza ones. 

it's been a pretty good week! not sure where the time goes. but I love and miss you all! email me, send me a letter, voice recordings are also welcomed. hehe

  hey fam, I know I know, the title of my email doesn't make sense cause we JUST got a new car like 3 weeks ago... surprise! we got a new car again! it's been a good week :)  can I ask a favor? can y'all pray for my friends? "Because of our covenant with God, He will never tire in His efforts to help us, and we will never exhaust His merciful patience with us"  when we are baptized we enter into a covenant relationship with God which binds us to Him and because of that He has a special kind of love for us and will continue to work with us and give us opportunities to change.
