week 50: dancing in the rain 🌧💃🏽

 hey everyone! not sure how it's Monday again. but here we are! lemme tell ya about my week


prayer list:

spiritual thought: I was reading in Doctrine and Covenants section 9 and found this! 

7 Behold, you have not understood; you have supposed that I would give it unto you, when you took no thought save it was to ask me. 

I love this verse because so many times we just hope for things to happen. God knows our thoughts and the desires of our hearts and He knows what we need. but He wants us to come to Him in prayer. He wants to hear from us and He wants us to show faith enough to ask Him. 
it goes on to say

8 But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right.

when we are praying for answers it's important that we "study it out" in our minds while we continue to pray in faith. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers all of our prayers. we just have to put in the effort and spiritual work to see those answers. 
just thought that was cool

anyways let's get onto the week :)

MONDAY
we got our oil changed! 
we went to this park, nature reserve thing and they had a lil canopy nature walk. it's up high and I'm afraid of heights so that was exciting. my comp got some funny videos of me freaking out. check out my google photos 🤪

TUESDAY
we visited roger and hes been carving highland cows. i want one. taught the plan of salvation a lot.. to zeck and then later to Nellie. we had a lesson with Laura and at the end she asked about patriarchal blessings! it was so cool to get to teach her about it and she's excited and nervous to get hers! she's so precious 

WEDNESDAY
we went to district council and I gave a training about teaching the plan of salvation and focusing on joy! then we went to raising canes and the car elders met us there so we could swap cars! that's right, we got a new car! it's the same as the one we had, just a newer model. a toyota rav4
we met a referral named Joseph who's looking for a new church! it was his birthday on Sunday but he said he'd come the next week. 
it POURED rain. like crazy. so we decided the best thing to do would be to dance in it during our dinner hour. dresses and all. we were soaked. THEN OUR BASEMENT FLOODED! the joys of Ohio rain :) it was a fun night

THURSDAY
we read 2 Nephi 31 with millie! then she showed us her cookie cutters. they were vintage. later we made a video for our Facebook page and it was the most cringe thing I think I've ever done. 

FRIDAY
Magnolia and JR and their daughter Haven took us to lunch! they're the cutest little family. we met Kevin who sent in a referral to grow his relationship with Jesus Christ. we talked a lot about His Atonement. of course gave him a Book of Mormon :) we went to the church for a youth activity but apparently it was canceled and nobody told us. we watched Maydelma and Magnolia practice the song they were singing for Zion's mission call thing. we also played with Rayne and Haven. they're so cute

SATURDAY
at our lesson with zeck we talked about commandments. decided to teach him about the law of chastity and ended up just playing a song. I'll attach it down below. I think he liked it cause he was singing along at the end and agreed to keep the law of chastity! bang. then we went to Zions mission call party! he got called to the Philippines. we totally called it cause his mom is Philippino 😂
we went to do a stop by and ended up talking to some guys outside, Damien and Shaun. they were interested in learning more about the Book of Mormon and restoration. they were asking some good questions. pray for them

SUNDAY
church! Noah was there again! one of the stake members came up and talked to him, asked if he's getting close to baptism and Noah said he thinks so! that's a good sign. he's still praying about it so pray for him! 
later while knocking we oymed to this guy named Klayton. he seems pretty cool and wants to learn more about the Book of Mormon so that's exciting :)

  hey fam, I know I know, the title of my email doesn't make sense cause we JUST got a new car like 3 weeks ago... surprise! we got a new car again! it's been a good week :)  can I ask a favor? can y'all pray for my friends?   oh hey! it's been another week!
